A Mommy With A Hobby Is A Happy Mommy
Sure, there are mommies with great, fun hobbies like knitting, golfing, swimming, running, and others that are safe and make them feel productive.
But whenever anyone chooses a hobby they usually has a motive. A hobby should add to your already building repertoire of excitement and mastery. Whether it is to outwit a group of gun enthusiasts with your precise knowledge of how a ”magazine” works (and it has nothing to do with writers) or sharp stick skills that you use to stand out at the pool hall, do it well and never divulge all your secrets!
But can a mommy take on risky hobbies, that no one else knows about? Motorcycle riding may get a frown from daddy. Always make sure it's something that you can do on your free time (you do have some right?) and does not take anything away from others. No guilt here!

I think that would be a fabulous idea to maybe create my own li'l dance crew. LOL...My long-lost dream is to try out for the Laker girls. As I am pushin' 35, that dream seems to be a glimmer in my rearview mirror!

- Dancing is such a good idea, overall workout. You can even get some dancing videos on DVDs to get started. Have you tried www.meetup.com?

- I really needed this today! I was just saying to myself that I need a hobby STAT! I would dance, dance, dance! Take a dance class, teach a dance class...DANCE! I also like to scrapbook and create cards for birthdays and other occasions. Wow! I forgot about who I USED to be for a minute there. Guess I need to re-vamp!
